Chad Connelly is the owner and lead instructor for Peak Leadership & Consulting.  He has nearly three decades of real-life experience in the public and private sectors. Chad retired as the Deputy Chief of Police from the City of East Lansing in 2023 and now serves as Commander of the Leadership Development Section for the Michigan State Police. His career in law enforcement was operationally centered and highlighted by being awarded 5 Bravery Citations, 5 Meritorious Service Citations, 2 Life-Saving Citations, MSU Unit Citation, MSP Professional Excellence Award, and being selected as the Jim Johnson Officer of the Year in 2011. He was also honored to be awarded over 30 letters of commendation or recognition throughout his career.

He has served as an instructor in the public and private sectors for over two decades, possessing thousands of hours of instruction experience.  Serving as a facilitator and instructor for the last two decades, he has trained over two thousand law enforcement professionals while leading instruction for numerous higher learning organizations, municipalities, and professional development programs.
